nVent Manufacturing Facility

nVent is a manufacturer of linear motion slides and power distribution products for the IT, Data Center, and Consumer Appliance sectors. This TI project included 31,730 square feet to accommodate administrative offices and a new production facility. 

The new headquarters included an expansion of 100 jobs, primarily in production, quality control, operations management, and engineering. The production area was fully air conditioned with 16’+ ceilings with sufficient lighting and electric for assembly work.

We replaced existing rooftop evaporative coolers with seven 10-ton rooftop packaged heat pump units with the supply air ducted to a contractor fabricated concentric diffuser.  A combination of existing and new rooftop packaged heat pump units were used to provide new supply and return air distribution systems throughout the office portion of the building.  A ductless split system was added for the Server Room.

The existing plumbing system was modified to accommodate the restrooms and break room space plan.

An upgrade of the existing electrical service for the building was included in the electrical design. The new service back fed some of the existing electrical gear while also adding new electrical panels to feed the tenant’s power demands. The testing benches required in-depth electrical coordination with the vendor and tenant’s current installation overseas. Specialty transformers were required for the unique piece of equipment. LED lighting was designed throughout the space that included high bay fixtures on the production floor and 2x4 fixtures in the offices and common spaces.
